We’re just hours away from Big Buck’s bid for a fourth consecutive World Hurdle and the superstar has taken a walk in the market ahead of the race.

The legendary staying hurdler remains an odds-on shot for the three-mile feature, but the bookmakers continue to look to lay Paul Nicholls’ horse.

With fifteen consecutive victories already under his belt, some racing fans believe that the likes of Oscar Whisky and Thousand Stars could really challenge the favourite, though trainer Paul Nicholls believes they will all have their work cut out to topple the champion.

Nicholls explained:  “Big Buck's is in great order and comes good at this time of year,

"He keeps winning and he has beaten all of them except Oscar Whisky - I have a feeling he could be his toughest opponent to date.

"He's the obvious one, but he's going to have to be very good to beat Big Buck's and to stay very well.

"You'd have to say Big Buck's was my banker of the meeting as he's such a brilliant horse and I think he looks better in his coat than ever.  Oscar Whisky will be a very interesting opponent as he has been impressive in his races at Cheltenham.

"He is bred to stay three miles so it's going to be very good race."

You can back Big Buck’s to win the World Hurdle at an enhanced price at Ladbrokes as the firm look to lay the market leader.
