Watch a replay of the 2012 Ladbrokes World Hurdle race replay, which was won for a fourth successive time by Paul Nicholls' superstar Big Buck's who held off a strong challenge from Voler La Vedette.

The bookmakers were out to get Big Buck's on Thursday at the 2012 Cheltenham Festival but the three times champion wasn't to be beaten, making a mockery of odds of 5/6 to beat a strong field in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle.

Ruby Walsh always looked confident that Big Buck's was going to be good enough to win the race and he held off an incredible late surge from the mare Voler La Vedette up the Cheltenham hill to make history as the greatest staying hurdler of all time. Smad Place stayed on to give each way backers a nice payout at odds of 20/1 after the much fancied Oscar Whisky and Thousands Stars faded in the finish.

1 - Big Buck's 5/6f
2 - Voler La Vedette 20/1
3 - Smad Place 20/1
