Depositing Money to Online Casinos

For the most part online casinos accept deposits from “eWallets”, online virtual bank accounts run by companies that move your money for you. You make a deposit into one of these eWallets from your brink and mortar checking account (for example) and now you have funds available. You then make a transfer of funds from your eWallet to your casino of choice, and you are ready to play. Sounds simple- and it really is- but there are a few wrinkles.

Not all casinos accept all eWallets, not all eWallets accept customers from all countries, and not all eWallets are created equally.

Neteller
Much ado has been made about this powerhouse eWallet company recently. A favorite among many casinos and players world wide, recent pressure has caused Neteller to refuse customers (for casinos and poker room purposes) from the US, Canada and Turkey. If you live outside of these areas, and if your casino accepts it, Neteller is recommended for quick, reliable service.

Other eWallets
Click2Pay and FirePay are widely respected. Less frequently used are: Moneybookers, Central Clin, Citadel, UseMyBank, Payspark, NetPay and ePassporte.

Other Deposit Options
Depending again on your local regulations and the casino’s preferences, you may be able to send the casino a money order, use a credit card, perform a bank transfer, or even write a personal check. As with all deposit options, however, there are fewer ways to get your money out of a casino than there is to get your money in.

A note on prepaid services
A potential solution for countries that have restrictions on putting money into a casino online- are prepaid services. In effect you acquire a Visa card with a set limit that you load from your personal banking account. You can then use that card to make a deposit at a casino that accepts Visa, as the restrictions on these prepaid cards are not as sever as on a normal credit card. One such company is Entropay, and two others are Netspend and Ecocard.

Paypal Casinos
Only very few casinos accept paypal deposits. These include Ladbrokes Casino and Betfair Casino
