Ricky Hatton vs Flloyd Mayweather...Hatton 7/1 to win by a KO

Confirmation of the December 8 'fight of the year' has seen Ladbrokes offer 7/1 about Ricky Hatton beating boxing phenomenon Floyd Mayweather by KO.

Ladbrokes rate Mayweather the clear 4/9 favourite to defeat the "Hitman" who is the 7/4 outsider but the Magic Sign reckon the odds on a KO for either fighter are much closer between the two.

Mayweather is 13/2 to win by KO - as he has predicted he will - but the big fight in Las Vegas is 2/9 to go the distance - and the bookies make the draw a relatively short 16/1.

David Williams of Ladbrokes explained: "The odds on a draw in boxing are usually much longer but the phenomenal talent of these two stars suggests to us it could be closer than the outright odds imply."

"Mayweather's extraordinary speed will ensure he goes off favourite - particularly in Vegas. But Hatton never knows when he's beaten and the army of fans who will make the trip to America could help to see the Mancunian spring a sensational upset."
