Former two-weight world champion Ricky Hatton insists the idea of fighting Amir Khan "hasn't entered my head".

Khan won the WBA light-welterweight title on Saturday to further fuel talk of a showdown between the pair.

But Hatton, yet to make a decision on his future, told the MEN: "I'm not thinking about boxing at the moment. Maybe I'll wake and think let's give it another go, but I might not."

Trainer Freddie Roach believes Amir Khan answered several questions with his WBA light-welterweight title win - but insists there is plenty to work on.

The Bolton 22-year-old out-pointed Ukrainian champion Andreas Kotelnik in his first fight at the 140lb limit.

Roach said: "Sometimes he was taking his eye off his opponent and that's when he got in a little bit of trouble. We're going to work on that."
