The British Boxing Board of Control said in a statement that Hatton, who has not fought since he was stopped by Manny Pacquaio in Las Vegas in 2009, would be allowed to keep his promoter's licence. He has, however, been stripped of his boxing, manager and trainer’s certificates. Hatton has voluntarily entered rehabilitation after newspaper allegations of cocaine use.
