Nottingham's Froch opened his Super Six super-middleweight tournament with a scrappy points victory over Andre Dirrell in October while Kessler was upset by Andre Ward. "We've confirmed a date of 17th April. It will take place in Denmark and will be on at around 10pm in the evening UK time which is great news for British fight fans." Froch's promoter Mick Hennessy revealed. A defeat for Kessler would almost certainly end any hopes of getting to the semi-finals of the Super Six. "It's an incredible fight between two of the world's best and most exciting fighters." Hennessy added. Froch is undefeated in 26 fights but pre-tournament favourite Kessler will be keen to regain a title after losing his WBC belt in November.
