Manny Pacquiao getting massive support

Manny Pacquiao, widely regarded as the best pound for pound fighter on the planet, has been the subject of massive support with Sky Bet for his fight this weekend against one of the other top fighters in the world, Miguel Cotto.

Pacquiao is now Sky Bet's 4/11 hot favourite, having been backed down from 1/2, while Cotto can be backed at 21/10 for victory.

The Pac-Man has been punted down from 5/4 to 8/11 to stop the tough warrior Cotto within 12 rounds and has also attracted money to win by a clean knockout, which Sky Bet have cut to 10/3 from 8/1.

Sky Bet's boxing betting expert Scott Springgay said: "Such is the amazing standard of this match-up that we have seen unprecedented pre-fight money for a bout not involving a British fighter.

"Nearly 95% of all money staked has been on Manny Pacquiao. Cotto has been friendless so far in the betting. It seems the sight of Pacquiao destroying the British fans' favourite Ricky Hatton has given the punters no reason to back the other guy after such an amazing display.

"However this will be the toughest fight yet for Pacquiao. Cotto is going to be bigger and stronger than anyone he has faced and there is a chance of a real upset here," reckoned Springgay.
