John Murray has managed to maintain his unbeaten boxing record with a sixth-round stoppage over Scott Lawton, but was stripped of his title after failing to make the required weight.
Manchester's John Murray failed to make the lightweight limit by half an ounce but agreed with Scott Lawton to continue the fight.
Murray had Lawton in trouble early and after a brutal fifth round the contest was stopped in the sixth.
"After the disaster on Friday, being just half an ounce over, I really wanted to come out and put on a good performance," said Murray.
"I'd rather lose on the scales than in the ring," added Murray after the fight.
