Floyd Mayweather: “I´ll KO Pacman!” Visit Bet365 Save For Later Posted by Dan Hunter 10 Dec 2009 Tweet Related Articles See all Boxing news Share it Pin It Floyd Mayweather Junior has predicted on national television that he believes he will knock out Pilipino superstar, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao when the two meet on March 13th next year. Speaking on Joe Buck´s Live Chat show on HBO TV, he said;“The thing is, I don't want the fans to be really shocked by what will happen when we do happen to meet up because it's not going to be anything new - he's been knocked out before and he's taken losses. I'll be victorious, you can believe it.”Mayweather,(40-0, 25 ko´s) a six-time - five weight world champion, tempered his usual trash talking style during the interview;“Pacquiao's a good fighter but I've been around the sport a long time and I've dominated boxing for around 15 years now. No-one has defeated me yet so we'll have to see.” He showed an insight into his ring mentality;“Of course, your job in boxing is like a cop's: One shot could end your whole career. It's different from a team sport, in that's it's one-on-one combat. I think that I'm a very, very smart and intelligent fighter, and that's why I've been able to be in the sport of boxing so long, and dominate for so long. Just being smart," said Mayweather. "I always tell people all of the time, 'There's nothing cool about taking punishment and getting paid.”Las Vegas based Mayweather also revealed the huge sums of money he has won and lost on NFL football games. “Two weeks ago I won like a million dollars, that was across a week of games, Monday night, Sunday and Thursday. I lost big this weekend, lost huge. I didn't lose a million but I lost a couple of hundred thousand. Then I tried to get some 'get back' and lost some more money on Brett Favre (of the Minnesota Vikings).” Meanwhile it has been revealed that two NFL football stadiums are in a bidding war with the MGM Grand casino, site of Manny Pacquiao´s recent stoppage win over Miguel Cotto, and Mayweather´s points win over Juan Manuel Marquez in September. The Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys, is competing with the Superdome in New Orleans, home of the New Orleans Saints for the right to stage what could be the biggest fight in boxing history. The Cowboys stadium holds 80,000 but can be extended to hold 110,000. The Superdome holds 73,000, but with the use of the playing field area, that figure would be significantly higher. The MGM Grand traditionally holds 16,000 fans. Pacquiao v Mayweather is expected to set a new world record for gate receipts, beating the previous record of $18.4m which was set by Mayweather's WBC world super-welterweight title fight with Oscar De La Hoya in 2007.
