Since Khan signed for Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy promotions there has been intense speculation over when he will make his debut Stateside, and a fight against Marquez looks likely. Khan has been ordered to defend his light-welterweight belt against Argentine Marcos Maidana, but following the Bolton born fighter’s trainer Freddie Roach’s claim that there isn’t enough money in that duel, it now looks like Marquez will be Khan’s next challenger.
