French League mainstay Mouhammad Faye led the way with 19 points and five rebounds while center Papa Ndiaga Diasse had 16 points and 11 rebounds. Spain-based Charles Ramsdell and France-based Yerison Rabekoto paced Madagascar with 19 points apiece.

Up next for Senegal is Côte d'Ivoire, which survived Rwanda 80-72 earlier in the day.

The Ivorians found themselves down by 11 points at halftime but Guy Edi led a second-half surge as his team avoided the upset axe. The Gonzaga University stalwart finished with a tournament-high 34 points. Mouloukou Diabate added 16 points while big man Mohamed Kone had 15 points and seven rebounds.
