Head coach Dusan Ivkovic’s men will be first if they win and Bennet Cantu beats Fenerbahce Ulker. The worst-case scenario for the Reds would be losing and seeing both Caja Laboral and Cantu win, which would leave Olympiacos tied with Fenerbahce Ulker for third at 5-5. However Olympiacos would lose that tiebreaker and place fourth. Meanwhile Nancy will place last in Group A regardless of this game, but the French champs will play for their honour and look to stop a three-game losing streak and finish their Euroleague season on a high note. Olympiacos leading scorer Vassilis Spanoulis sprained an ankle in practice and didn't travel to Nancy on Wednesday. Olympiacos will also miss centre Lazaros Papadopoulos, who has undergone knee surgery. Nancy head coach Jean-Luc Monschau appears to have a full squad at his disposal. A lot of responsibility will fall to the other Reds, starting with Kalin Lucas, the likely replacement for Spanouls. He'll go up against John Linehan, Kenny Grant and Pape Philippe Amagou of Nancy. At the other end, Nancy will look for the likes of Jamal Shuler, Adrien Moerman and Kenny Gregory to make shots early and often. In addition to Olympiacos’s No. 2 scoring option, Kyle Hines, the visitors could try to use Pero Antic and Andreas Glyniadakis in the paint too, since a post presence – or a hot Martynas Gecevicius from the wing – will be a necessity now for the Reds.
