In a classic game in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Real Madrid welcomes Partizan mt:s to the Spanish capital in Group C on Wednesday. Madrid (6-2) leads Group C and will become its champion if it wins and Maccabi Electra (5-3) beats Anadolu Efes (5-3).

For Partizan (4-4) to advance to the Top 16, it needs to win or see Spirou Basket (2-6) beat EA7 Emporio Armani (2-6) on the road. Madrid is the leading scorer in the competition (87.8 ppg.) and Partizan is first in free throw percentage (85.5%). Madrid has beaten Partizan in their eight previous matchups in the Spanish capital, which will provide extra motivation for the guests. Expect a hard-fought battle. per minute.

INJURIES

Madrid parted ways with Rudy Fernandez, who left the club right after last week's game against Maccabi Electra. Novica Velickovic is questionable against his former team – he has been sidelined for eight weeks but is about to return. Partizan has no injury problems.

THE TAKE

Madrid's main concern will be stopping Partizan's starting frontcourt, Milan Macvan and Miroslav Raduljica. Macvan is having an extraordinary season but he will not have it easy against bwin Week 8 MVP Nikola Mirotic, who comes off his best-ever Euroleague game. Raduljica and Rasko Katic better be ready to hustle against Ante Tomic, Mirza Begic and Felipe Reyes.

Without Fernandez around, Jaycee Carroll becomes the hosts’ main weapon on offense and will be even more dangerous with extended playing time. Carroll will go against Dragan Milosavljevic and veteran Dusan Kecman. The point guard battle will be interesting, as Petar Bozic and Acie Law, who has played really well lately, face experienced playmakers Sergio Llull and Sergio Rodriguez. Madrid must run the floor, looking to get Carroll and Mirotic involved offensively. Partizan must slow down the game tempo and run its offense through Law and Macvan.
