Petron Blaze Boosters and Powerade Tigers clash in PBA Governor's Cup

Watch and bet on live streaming of Petron Blaze Boosters v Powerade Tigers at bet365 > live streaming > basketball from 11:30 BST on Sunday

A new and improved Petron Blaze team battles the Powerade Tigers in the PBA Governor's Cup on Sunday.

The Boosters reinforced their already strong line-up with the acquisition of Marcio Lassiter from the Tigers in the offseason. Petron also re-acquired veteran big man Dorian Pena from Barako Bull.

The two new recruits will team up with key holdovers Arwind Santos, Alex Cabagnot, Danny Ildefonso and Chris Lutz. Dondon Hontiveros and Jay Washington are also expected to return after nursing long-time injuries, making the Boosters an easy favorite to retain their crown.

Add to the mix former NBA player Eddie Basden, who will be the team's import this conference.

Powerade may be the underdogs on paper but Bo Perasol's team is ready to go to war. The lost Lassiter and Doug Kramer (traded to Barako) in the offseason, leaving Gary David and JV Casio to carry the team's title quest this conference.

The good news for Perasol is that they have a legitimate NBA vetaran in Rashad McCants. The Asheville native spent four seasons in the prestigious league, playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings. McCants was also part of the starting line-up of the vaunted North Carolina Tar Heels team that won the 2005 NCAA title.

Another key acquisition for the Tigers is big man Rabeh Al-Hussaini, who came via the Lassiter trade.
