March Madness begins on Thursday as 65 college basketball teams start the competition to be crowned national champions.
Kentucky
The draw has not been kind to the Wildcats but they have only lost two games all year. DeMarcus Cousins, John Wall and Patrick Paterson will be huge factors for this powerhouse of a team. Kentucky have been involved in some very close games this season but they have always found a way to win. I think they will make it to the Final Four at the very least.
Syracuse
This team has surprised a lot of people this season and a lot of credit must go to coach Jim Boeheim. Rick Jackson and Arinze Onuaka are playing at a very high level for the Orange and they will be a force to be reckoned with in this tournament.
Kansas
The Jayhawks are the favourites for the championship and have a relatively easy draw. Regarded by many as the best team in college basketball, they are a very solid team that should go far in this competition.
Duke
The Blue Devils are expected to make it to the Final Four but I have my doubts. They are an outstanding team that shoots the ball very well but are a little light inside the paint. They do not have a big man who can dominate underneath the basket. I think this team could be upset in the later rounds.
Villanova
This team made the Final Four last year and I believe they could do it again. They can score very quickly and have players like Scottie Reynolds and Corey Fisher who are very talented individuals.
Gonzaga
The Bulldogs are a team that never gives up and have been a model of consistency this season. Forward Elias Harris has been on fire for the Zags and they could upset a few of the bigger teams around.
Cornell
This Ivy League team can light up the board in a flash. This team is shooting an amazing 43% from the three-point line making them a threat to anyone if they get hot. They do not have the depth to win the tournament but they are a dangerous team.
Georgetown
The Hoyas are a physical team and have Greg Monroe who is a real force underneath the basket. This team can compete with anyone and could make a huge impact.
One of the best things about the 2010 NCAA Tournament is that punters can watch every single game free of charge on the NCAA's live stream here. This is truly an amazing service offered by the NCAA and there is even a HQ player available.
