NBA Finals betting odds: Lebron James favourite to outscore Kevin Durant

MIAMI, FL - JUNE 09: Dwyane Wade #3 and LeBron James #6 of the Miami Heat speak with the media after beating the Boston Celtics in Game Seven of the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2012 NBA Playoffs at American Airlines Arena on June 9, 2012 in Miami, Florida. (credit: Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images)

BetVictor make Lebron James their 4/6 favourite to score more points in the NBA Finals than Kevin Durant 6/5 as two of the superstars of the sport and potential US teammates at the London Olympics go head-to-head as the Miami Heat travel to Oklahoma to meet the Thunder in Game 1 of the NBA Finals in the early hours of Wednesday morning CET.

Spokesperson Charlie McCann told Bettingpro: “With home court advantage in four of the best of seven series the Thunder are our 8/13 favourites with the Heat 7/5 but the matchup between the two best players in the world Lebron James of the Heat (Regular season MVP) and Kevin Durant (Highest scorer in the regular season) of the Thunder will be pivotal in the destination of the NBA crown.

As we make the Thunder favourites Durant is 8/11 to be named Finals MVP but we make James favourite to score more points in the series. Most neutrals will want the Thunder (formerly the Seattle SuperSonics) to gain their 1st NBA Title whilst the Heat are looking for redemption having lost out to the Dallas Mavericks 12 months ago.”
