The Boston Celtics were the pick to make to win the 2010 NBA Finals before the series started.  The main concern was that they would have to find a way to beat Los Angeles at the Staples Center, somewhere LA had not lost all post-season.

Now Boston have done just that behind 8 Ray Allen three pointers and as a result it should be clear who the favorite to win the NBA championship is.

Boston's true odds to win the finals are probably more like -175 (4/7) at this point and yet their betting odds are +110 (11/10) with Ladbrokes, a price that is worth pounding.

Game 3 takes place on June 8th at 9pm ET from Boston and the Celtics are not considered huge favorites as they are only priced at -140 (5/7).  This Laker team has not been overly impressive in winning the first game on the road in their previous series as they lost game 3 to OKC in the first round, they dodged a buzzer beater to beat the Jazz in game 3 in the second round, and they lost to Phoenix in the western conference finals in game 3 as well.

Taking Boston to win game 3 and to win the series outright is the correct play to make at this point and the Staples Center may be closed for basketball for the year.
