Now that they have finally tasted their first win in the PBA Commissioner's Cup, the San Mig Coffee Mixers are looking forward to beating the Globalport Batang Pier in Naga City on Saturday.

The Mixers are coming off a 90-82 victory over the Talk N Text Tropang Texters to improve to 1-3 in the team standings. SMC trailed by five points after three quarters but waxed hot in the fourth led by import Denzel Bowles. Last season's Best Import awardee finished with 29 points, 23 rebounds and three blocked shots as the Mixers outscored the Texters 27-14 in the fourth.

Bowles also got enough support from his local teammates. Peter June Simon scored 13 points while Marc Pingris chipped in 12. Joe Devance tallied 11 points while Mark Barroca chipped in nine. San Mig star James Yap was held to only six points.

Globalport (2-3), meanwhile, is out to bounce back after a heartbreaking defeat to Meralco last Sunday.

The Batang Pier seemed to be on their way to another victory until the Bolts slowly rallied back and stole the win after Sunday Salvacion hit a trey at the buzzer to give his team a 90-89 win.

The loss spoiled the impressive performances of Gary David and Willie Miller. David topscored with 27 points while Miller finished with 22 in his best game this conference.

Jaypee Belencion was a surprise package as the seldom-used guard tallied 15 points. Japeth Aguilar added 12 points and six rebounds for Globalport.

Globalport import Justin Williams was held to five points but had 13 rebounds and eight blocked shots.
