Boston Celtics vs Orlando Magic NBA Playoffs Game 5 Preview Visit Players Only Save For Later Posted by Bettingpro Staff 26 May 2010 Tweet Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics (credit: wikipedia) Related Articles See all Basketball news Share it Pin It Can Boston close the series up, or will Orlando carry on fighting? The Orlando Magic won game 4 on the road to stave off elimination in the NBA's Eastern Conference finals. Now Orlando are back at home for game 5 with a serious chance of extending this series. The Magic have come in as -4 point favorites (Players Only) against the Celtics in a game that takes place on Wednesday night at 8:35pm ET and you have to like the Celtics' chances of covering their +4 spread. Boston, who were underdogs against the Magic pre-series, defeated Orlando straight up in games 1 and 2 from Orlando and the Magic are a little bit lucky to still be alive in their series. Jameer Nelson rained down multiple three pointers in the clutch of game 4, including one where he didn't call glass, to help keep his team alive. But if Boston had simply executed better at the end of regulation time in game 4 (or had one of those aggressive defensive bumps called as the clock ticked down), Boston could easily have swept the Magic. Then again Boston could have easily have swept Philadelphia too, if the Bruins would only have scored in overtime in game 4 of their NHL season. Can lightning strike the city of Boston twice in a one month period? The Celtics are considered underdogs in game 5 and should they lose the pressure to win game 6 will be immense. The Celtics appear to have too many weapons to lose that kind of series lead however and our recommendation is to take the Celtics to cover the spread with Players Only.
