Tampa Bay Rays host Texas Rangers in the opening game of the 2010 MLB playoffs

The Tampa Bay Rays are hosting the Texas Rangers in game 1 of an ALDS today as Cliff Lee takes the mound for Texas against David Price for Tampa Bay.  Betting odds favor the Rays in this game as you can do no better than -125 (4/5) on them with Boylesports.

Those looking at backing Texas on the road are advised to think twice but they can be found at +122 with bet365 to win today straight up.

Game time today is not that far off as it is an early start time at 1:30pm ET.

Price went 19-6 on the year and with a 2.72 ERA he's a competitor for the Cy Young Award.  The leftie was sharp for the Rays when it counted most as he was a flawless 4-0 in 6 September starts and his ERA was very impressive over that span, at just 1.67.

His presence on the mound and the fact that Tampa Bay are playing at home make the Rays a very good pick at odds that have to be judged as valuable.

Cliff Lee has NOT been as sharp with the Rangers as Texas fans might have hoped for.  He went just 4-6 for the Rangers in 15 starts and his ERA was near 4.00.

Tampa Bay have played confident ball against Texas this season going a solid 4-2 and the Rays are our recommendation to win both the series and game 1.
