The Texas Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays last night to close out the first round of the playoffs in Major League Baseball.  Now the League Championship Series are set and here's what the playoff bracket looks like:

ALCS: New York Yankees at Texas Rangers
NLCS: San Francisco Giants at Philadelphia Phillies

New York Yankees
Minnesota Twins  ---------> Yankees advanced 3-0

Texas Rangers
Tampa Bay Rays   ---------> Texas advanced 3-2.

Philadelphia Phillies
Cincinnati Reds  ---------> Philadelphia advanced 3-0.

Atlanta Braves
San Francisco Giants -----> San Francisco advanced 3-1.

The New York Yankees have a better winning percentage than Texas but the Rangers receive home field advantage because they are a division winner from the regular season.  The Yankees are the AL Wild Card and that means they cannot hold home field advantage in an ALDS or ALCS.

The Phillies remain our prediction to win the 2010 World Series and they are priced at +125 with Ladbrokes.
