The New York Yankees take on the Minnesota Twins at Yankee Stadium, while later in the week the Mets take on the Phillies, the Giants face-off against the Padres and the Braves, Brewers, Raws, Angels, Rangers and Mariners are all in action.

There’s a great selection for MLB betting at Pinnacle Sports.

Minnesota Twins at New York Yankees, April 4th

The Yankees (1.690*) face a familiar foe when they open a four-game series with the Twins (2.360*) on Monday night at Yankee Stadium.

New York swept Minnesota in the best-of-five American League Division Series in last year’s playoffs, as it went 7-2 overall against the Twins in 2010. That includes a 3-1 moneyline record in the Bronx.

Pinnacle Sports has the Yanks priced as favourites for the game with Ivan Nova making his first start of the season, while the Twins counter with Scott Baker.

Minnesota Twins (2.360*), New York Yankees (-1.690*)

New York Mets at Philadelphia Phillies, April 5th

The banged-up Phillies turn to fourth starter Cole Hamels as they kick off a three-game set with the Mets at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday night.

Chase Utley (knee) and Brad Lidge (shoulder) are on the 15-day injured list for Philadelphia, which is also without its Jayson Werth replacement Domonic Brown (hand).

This is Hamels’ first outing of the year for the Phils, and he’ll match up against Chris Young, whom the Mets signed in the offseason to shore up the rotation.

San Francisco Giants at San Diego Padres, April 6th

The two clubs that fought it out for the National League West title last season finish off a two-gamer at Petco Park on Wednesday.

The Giants hand the ball to Tim Lincecum (0-1, 0.00 ERA), who allowed an unearned run over seven innings in San Francisco’s 2-1 loss as +110 underdogs at the Dodgers on Opening Day last Thursday.

With Mat Latos (shoulder) on the 15-day DL, the Padres send Opening Day starter Tim Stauffer (0-0, 3.00 ERA) to the hill to face Lincecum.

Wrap-Up

In other notable action this week, the Atlanta Braves (1.980*) take on the Milwaukee Brewers (1.962*) in a four-game series beginning on Monday at Miller Park. Both the Braves and Brewers have their eyes on the postseason after making some key acquisitions in the offseason.

Over in the AL, the defending AL East champion Tampa Bay Rays host the Los Angeles Angels in a two-game set at Tropicana Field starting on Tuesday, while at Rangers Ballpark, the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners open a three-game series on Monday.
