This lefty won 16 games in the regular season and is a logical choice to start the opening game.But Wilson did not pitch well against Tampa in Game 1 of the ALDS giving up eight runs in five innings. He is normally a reliable starter but post-season pitching comes with plenty of added pressure.This is a fascinating encounter between two high-scoring teams but i think the Rangers will get the job done in six games. They are marginal favourites to win the American League Pennant at 1.85 which is just about right.I think the Tigers will strike first in the series due to the presence of the great Verlander. This Cy Young Award candidate is the best pitcher in the AL and is well-rested ahead of this important assignment.
