Wednesday’s action saw Vietnam’s Nguyen Tien Minh cruise into the second round of the Singapore Open with a straight sets 21-15 21-18 win over Eric Pang from the Netherlands.

The world number 11 needed just 34 minutes to win this first round encounter against his unseeded opponent and will now move into the second round.

Minh will now play Ajay Jayaram of India who took his berth after beating Brice Leverdez of France 21-12, 21-14 yesterday.
