Sharp wants goals to start flowing

AFC Telford striker Chris Sharp believes the squad will soon find their scoring touch as they aim to move clear of the relegation zone.

The Bucks have scored the second-fewest number of goals of all the teams in the league, with 33 in 33 games, but Sharp is confident that is about to change.

"I think we've got a lot of people who can score from all over the pitch," he told the Shropshire Star.

"The break killed it a little bit because we were on a bit of a run in terms of scoring goals before then. I know I was personally but hopefully we're over that now and we can kick on and the goals can start flowing."

The 25-year-old, who is Telford's top goalscorer this term, believes one of the reasons he has been successful this season is because he doesn't think about potential dry spells.

"I try not to think about it," he added. "You shouldn't really because it might start to play on your mind because every chance you have you think you've got to take.

"Ultimately though as a forward you've got to have that mindset anyway so that any chance that comes you're focused and you take it because if we're not creating chances and the game is tight then they're the chances that count the most."
