NAB Cup Semi-Finals - St Kilda sneak into the semi-finals

NAB Cup favourites St Kilda recorded a nail-biting one-point victory for the second week running as they booked their place in the semi-finals.

St Kilda, who last won the pre-season tournament in 2008, backed up from their 100-99 success over the Collingwood Magpies to sneak past the Sydney Swans on Saturday with a 79-78 triumph.

The Saints, who are 2.30A$ from 4.00 with Sportsbet.com.au to win the tournament, will now face outsiders Freemantle (8.50 from 15.00) who secured their last-four place with a thrilling 94-90 victory at North Melbourne.

Western Bulldogs have now been installed as second favourites to win the NAB Cup after destroying previous occupants Hawthorn Hawks 111-54 on Friday night. The Bulldogs are available at 2.70 after being 5.00 to win the tournament the previous week.

The Bulldogs’ opponents for Friday’s will be Port Adelaide (5.50) after they destroyed the West Coast Eagles 158-80 on Saturday.
