Round Two of the AFL takes place this weekend with punters backing just short of $100,000 on one single match.
There are nine matches being staged this week and it is obvious that the Brisbane v Carlton clash is the most anticipated with $95,000 already laid at 1.38 on Carlton.
Carlton head into this encounter on the back of a 125-81 win over Richmond Tigers, while Brisbane Lions defeated Melbourne 119-78. The match day betting for this match now sees Brisbane at 3.25 and Carlton at 1.33.
After the Brisbane versus Carlton encounter the most money placed on a single game is Collingwood against Richmond with $10,000.
Collingwood, who were defeated in last year’s Grand Final by the Geelong Cats, come into this encounter on the back of 115-137 loss against the Hawthorn Hawks, while their opponents, Richmond Tigers lost to Carlton.
The match day betting sees the Magpies backed at 1.15 with the Tigers on offer at a massive 5.25.
Luxbet have also taken $2,000 this week on the West Coast Eagles claiming a 100 points plus victory over Melbourne when these two lock horns on Saturday.
There are couple of more interesting bets being placed on the AFL season this season with $20,000 at 1.90 being laid on West Coast Eagles bagging over 14.5 wins this season, while $8,000 at 1.48 has been placed on the Brisbane Lions not to qualify for the top eight play-offs.
