The bookmakers can't separate 2010 and 2011 Brownlow Medal winners Chris Judd and Dane Swan in the betting for this year's award.

Luxbet has today released first markets on the 2012 Brownlow Medal with 2010 and 2011 winners Chris Judd and Dane Swan equal favourites at $7.

Interesting to note that Swan started an odds on favourite in 2010 when Chris Judd was successful and Judd was a similar short quote on Monday before Swan took the Medal with a record 34 votes.

Sam Mitchell, who polled a record for an ineligible player on Monday, is next at $9 along with Scott Pendlebury who was made favourite after a couple of rounds of voting this year and held that top spot until Round 16 when overtaken by eventual winner Dane Swan.

Gary Ablett, who confirmed his mantle as one of the best players in the modern era by polling 20 votes for the 5th consecutive season is at $11 from Joel Selwood and Jobe Watson at $13.

AFL Coaches player of the year Marc Murphy is $17.

Luxbet has quoted a total of 40 players in this unique market with the additional category of Players Not Quoted $17.

At least one player is quoted from each of the 18 clubs.

The outsider of the market is GWS new signing Tom Scully at $251

The standard Brownlow Medal market will be released later in the year when player lists are known.
