Rugby Union: Group Favourites 6/4 to All Oblige

Most bookmakers have priced up the Group Betting for the Rugby World Cup and you can get an odds-against accumulator about the four favourites obliging. Group C looks the biggest shoo-in and it’s barely worth including New Zealand (1/100 Coral) on your betting slip when you consider Scotland are the next-best team.

However, if you fancy South Africa to win Group A, Australia to win Group B and France to win Group D, place the treble with VC Bet where you’ll get odds of just over 6/4 on all three eventualities. The biggest threat to this bet comes from Ireland (3/1 Stan James) in Group D, who are sure to give the hosts a tough match, although it would be a major surprise if Eddie O’Sullivan’s men overturn Les Bleus in Paris.

South Africa’s main threat in Group A comes from lacklustre England (11/4 bet365), who should pose no problems to the Springboks. Similarly, it’s difficult to see Wales (5/2 Paddy Power) stopping the Australians from running away with their mini-division.
