Ding Junhui and Ronnie O'Sullivan are the biggest names in action in Week Four of the Premier League Snooker competition.
Week Four will take place at The Dome in Doncaster with Ronnie O’Sullivan, Matthew Stevens, Ding Junhui and Ali Carter competing in the semi-finals.
Junhui made his 2011 debut last week in Motherwell but after seeing off Shaun Murphy 3-2 in the semis he failed to go one better and crashed to a 3-1 loss at the hands of Neil Robertson, while Carter is making his 2011 Premier League bow this week.
O’Sullivan last appeared in Week Two when he failed to get past the semi-finals after crashing to a 3-2 defeat against Murphy, while Stevens will be hoping to continue his fine form after winning the Week One Final.
The Premier League Snooker is a very popular event which features 10 of the world’s best snooker plays playing over a number of week’s.
Each player will play on four of the ten nights in what will be a mini-tournament consisting of two semis and a final.
Players will pick up points for frames won and at the conclusion of the league section, the top four will advance to the play-offs which take place at Potters Leisure Resort over the 26th and 27th November.
The players taking part this year are reigning champion Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Williams, John Higgins, Ding Junhui, Neil Robertson, Ali Carter, Shaun Murphy, Judd Trump, Matthew Stevens and Jimmy White.
Every night of the competition sees four players take to the table and includes two semi-finals and a final. The matches are first to three but dead frames will not be played.
The matches on Thursday September 29 will see fans favourite O’Sullivan go up against Stevens and Junhui facing Carter with the two winners meeting in the final later that same evening.
