Bookmaker William Hill believe it is now an odds-on shot that Greece will cease to use the Euro as its currency before the end of 2012 and are quoting that outcome at odds of 4/6.

William Hill are also offering 11/10 that the Greeks are continuing to use the Euro on December 31, 2012.

Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe told Bettingpro.com: “For the first time we are betting odds-on that the Greeks will quit the Euro.”

And the firm are now offering 11/4 that the current Euro will cease to be a currency before the end of 2012. Hills quote 1/ 4 that the Euro will still be in use by the end of next year.

Sharpe added: “The current volatile financial situation might well lead to the total demise of the Euro.”
