Background
Digibet is operated by digibet Ltd. Gibraltar, licensed in and operated from Gibraltar. The digibet group employs more than 200 people in Gibraltar, Germany and the Isle of Man, and has more than 150 betting shops in the German and English-speaking regions.
They are newcomers to the betting industry, although recently held a two-year sponsorship deal with Manchester City which saw them offering integrated online and in-stadium betting solutions during the club’s home games.
Odds and Markets
For a typical Saturday, you will currently find around 500 sporting events that are covered, which are mostly football but also include futsal, US sports, ice hockey, handball, rugby and tennis. For many events, you are not permitted to place singles and need to select of a minimum of three selections in order to place a bet. For an average Premier League match, you will find around ten pre-match markets and three or four In-Play betting opportunities.
There is also a section devoted to HORSES although there didn’t seem to be any odds or markets available when we visited, although there were markets available for the GREYHOUNDS section, with decent coverage for all UK tracks.
Website
The Digibet website is quite a basic offering, with some sports news featured in a left-hand margin and an introduction to the bookmaker dominating the main homepage. Clicking through to the ‘SPORT’ section provides an overview of how many bets are available today and tomorrow, while there is also a summary of special and long-term bets. When clicking on ‘Today’, you are presented with a long list of sporting events which you can then click on to unearth the bets relevant to that event.
The ‘Betting In-Running’ section is probably the highlight of the site, although it’s not clear as to how often the odds are updating and customers might be put off by the fact that some parts of the English site are presented in German.
